Performer & Artist Terms, Safety Regulations & Liability Waiver

Introduction & Welcome

Thank you for your interest in performing at a Pilipino Worker Center (PWC) event. Our events aim to bring the community together to honor history, celebrate culture, and empower worker and immigrant communities through music, performance, and the arts.

To ensure a safe, organized, and successful event for all participants, performers, and attendees, all selected performers and cultural artists must review and adhere to the following terms, safety regulations, and liability waiver.

1. General Event Compliance & Scheduling

  • Call Times & Soundcheck: Performers agree to strictly adhere to assigned arrival call times, load-in slots, soundcheck schedules, and stage performance times provided by PWC event organizers.

  • Performance Length: Performance set lengths are strict. Performers must start and conclude their sets within their allotted time slots to maintain the overall event schedule.

  • Stage Etiquette & Content: All stage content, language, and artistic expressions should respect a multi-generational community audience.

2. Equipment, Technical Requirements & Logistics

  • Technical Information: Performers must submit all technical needs, stage layouts, instrument/microphone requirements, and load-in accommodations to the production team prior to the event deadline.

  • Load-In / Load-Out: Equipment must be loaded in and removed only during designated windows and through designated entry/exit points. Vehicles must be moved to designated parking areas immediately after unloading.

  • Personal Belongings: Performers are solely responsible for the security, setup, operation, and teardown of their personal instruments, gear, props, and personal belongings.

3. Safety Regulations & Venue Compliance

  • Safety Protocols: Performers must follow all instructions given by PWC staff, stage managers, technical crews, security personnel, and venue representatives.

  • Prohibited Items & Activities: Pyrotechnics, open flames, hazardous materials, unauthorized equipment, and unscheduled audience disruptions are strictly prohibited.

  • Emergency Procedures: In the event of an emergency or unexpected disruption, performers must comply immediately with all directions given by event staff and safety personnel.

4. Media & Promotional Release

  • Photo & Video Rights: By participating in a PWC event, performers grant the Pilipino Worker Center non-exclusive rights to record, photograph, and broadcast their performance.

  • Promotional Use: Photo, video, and audio recordings may be used by PWC for promotional, marketing, archival, educational, or fundraising purposes across print, online, and social media channels without monetary compensation.

5. Liability Waiver & Indemnification

  • Assumption of Risk: Performers voluntarily assume all risks associated with participation in PWC events, including but not limited to personal injury, illness, loss, or property damage.

  • Release of Liability: Performers hereby release, waive, and discharge the Pilipino Worker Center (PWC), its venue partners, event sponsors, board members, officers, employees, and volunteers from any and all claims, demands, or liabilities arising out of or related to event participation.

  • Indemnification: Performers agree to hold harmless and indemnify PWC against any losses, damages, or legal costs incurred as a result of the performer's actions, negligence, or breach of these terms.

Performer & Artist Acknowledgment

By checking the agreement box on the application form or participating in the event, I certify that I am an authorized representative of the performing group or artist, and that I have read, understood, and agreed to all terms, safety regulations, and liability conditions outlined in this document.
