Liability Waiver & Release Agreement

Effective Date: August 15, 2026

By submitting this registration form, you (the "Participant") acknowledge and agree to the following terms regarding your participation in this activity (the "Event"). Please note that this Event may be organized, hosted, or facilitated, in whole or in part, by the Pilipino Workers Center (PWC) or by a third-party partner.

1. Assumption of Risk

You understand that participation in the Event may involve inherent risks, including but not limited to:

  • Physical Activity: Walking, standing, or navigating public spaces and uneven terrain.

  • Environmental Factors: Exposure to various weather conditions, noise, and public crowds.

  • Transportation: If applicable, risks associated with boarding, exiting, and traveling in vehicles provided or suggested for the Event. You voluntarily assume all known and unknown risks associated with your participation.

2. Food and Beverage Waiver

If the Event includes refreshments, meals, or stops at food vendors:

  • Allergies: It is your responsibility to inform the organizers of any life-threatening allergies. The organizers cannot guarantee an allergen-free environment.

  • General Liability: You assume all risks related to the consumption of food and beverages and release PWC and its partners from liability for any illness or allergic reactions that may arise.

3. Personal Property

The organizers are not responsible for the loss, theft, or damage of personal belongings (such as phones, wallets, or cameras) during the Event. You are encouraged to keep your valuables secure at all times.

4. Health and Safety Compliance

You certify that you are in good health and have no physical conditions that would make participation dangerous to yourself or others. You agree to follow all safety instructions provided by staff, guides, or volunteers. The organizers reserve the right to remove any Participant who acts in a manner that endangers themselves or others.

5. Release and Indemnification

To the fullest extent permitted by law, you hereby release, waive, and forever discharge PWC, its officers, employees, contractors, and partners from any and all liability, claims, or causes of action arising out of personal injury, death, property damage, or medical expenses incurred as a result of participation. You further agree to indemnify and hold harmless the organizers against any claims brought by third parties resulting from your actions during the Event.

6. Emergency Medical Treatment

In the event of an injury or medical emergency, you authorize the organizers to seek or administer first aid and/or medical transport at your expense. This waiver applies to any injuries sustained during such interventions.

7. Governing Law

This agreement shall be governed by the laws of the State of California. If any portion of this waiver is found to be invalid, the remaining portions shall remain in full force and effect.
